Want Boulder all to yourselves? This is the ride for that. You’ll roll with your own local guide and your own crew, with no strangers in the mix and no pressure to keep up with anyone else. We can keep it mellow, scenic, and easy, or shape the route around what your group is most excited to see. It’s a great fit for families, birthdays, team outings, visiting friends, and anyone who wants the easiest, most fun way to explore Boulder together. Every rider gets a goody bag with local treats. And if your group is 21+, we may even be able to work in a beer stop.

From our centrally-located starting point, we'll take to bike paths, streets, alleys and other byways on this comprehensive, local's-eye view of Boulder. We'll explore the town's eclectic neighborhoods, visit popular (and lesser known) areas of interest, take in stunning views, and immerse ourselves in Boulder's vibrant outdoor culture.

Along the way you’ll discover Boulder’s unique urban/nature interface, eclectic neighborhoods, and fun “alternate” routes that only someone with decades of local riding experience (like your JD's Joyrides guide) knows.

Things to know

Rider requirements

- Minimum rider age: 10 (10-17 requires parent or adult guardian). - Our minimum height requirement is 5'0". - Our maximum height allowance is 6'6". - Our maximum weight capacity is 275 lbs. - ALL RIDERS must be able to handle a 65-pound bicycle. What to Bring

Not necessarily required, but strongly recommended: •camera •sunglasses •sunscreen •bike helmet (we'll provide if you don't have one) •water bottle (we'll provide if you don't have one) •rain/cold weather gear (check the forecast before you come and keep in mind that you'll be traveling at speeds of 15 mph or more and Colorado weather can change quickly. Wind chill is a real thing! We recommend dressing in layers.)

Cancellation Policy

Reservations are confirmed once payment is received. - A full refund will be issued on cancellations received 48 hours or more before scheduled tour/rental start time. - A refund less 25% will be issued on cancellations made 24-48 hours in advance of your scheduled reservation. - No refunds will be issued on reservations canceled within 24 hours of the scheduled starting time. - If you fail to show up for your reserved tour/rental and do not contact us ahead of time, no refund will be issued.

Weather Policy

Weather conditions can change rapidly in Boulder and safety is our highest priority. If the weather is inclement and not conducive to a safe and pleasant tour, JD's Joyrides will cancel the tour and riders can reschedule for another day or receive a full refund. Weather cancellations are subject to the sole discretion of JD's Joyrides.

ETC

- WE DO NOT HAVE RESTROOMS! We can stop along the way as needed. - The bikes have saddlebags that should hold whatever you need to bring. Your guide may also have some (but not unlimited) carrying capacity for extra bags/jackets/gear. If you're not sure, bring it!
